Call to Action for the Near South High School! How can I get involved?
- Complete the Families for a Near South High School Form to stay updated and volunteer.
- Join the Near South Chicago Families for a Neighborhood High School group on Facebook.
- Please reach out to the contacts from the "Key Contacts" list below to express your support of the NSHS. You can use the facts and misconceptions sheet to back up your personal thoughts/experiences.
- Sign up for Focus Groups! Signing up and showing support for NSHS at these focus groups are critical for moving this process along. See below for details.

Please read this in its entirety. CPS/FACE is excited to invite you to participate in the Near South High School Parent Focus Groups. In response to feedback from the NSHS Design Team, FACE will facilitate 21 in-person focus groups of 10-15 parents. The participants of these efforts will include individuals who are impacted by the building of the Near South High School. The engagement process will begin March 13th and continue through March 23rd.
The goal for these engagement efforts is to share critical information with families and collect their feedback. The feedback will be analyzed on a rolling basis; any findings and trends will be shared with leadership.

*** Please sign up to attend and show your support for the NSHS. This really is an important step and this positive feedback will be very impactful, and needed, for moving forward. For those who would like to volunteer and help move this high school forward...this is your chance! ***
* Please make sure to choose 2nd/3rd options AND note that you do not have to necessarily attend the option for your child's feeder school! I.e. If you have a South Loop student but the Healy option is the date/time that works best for you, please make that your 1st choice.
* Lastly, please pass this along to all others! The more the better. Also, since this school will be supporting diverse learners as well, please sign up if you have a student who is a diverse learner or know a parent who does. Everyone's voices need to be heard.
